Lean Systems focus organizations on ways to optimize processes, reduce inventory, minimize work-in-process, work more effectively with the supply chain and eliminate waste.

Lean Systems Participants will be able to:

	Describe the characteristics of lean systems and relate benefits
	Use Lean System 9-step structured planning & implementation process
	Demonstrate team activities and team member responsibilities
	Use basic problem solving tools, including error/mistake proofing
	Explain Kaizen, Continual Improvement and Kanban concepts
	Assess work areas using 5S and visual management
	Identify opportunities for waste reduction, including measurables
	Relate the principles of Standard Work Instructions
	Explain the principles of Total Preventive/Productive Maintenance
	Assess operations for Quick Change optimization
	Describe One-Piece Flow and Cell Design

Class time is 40 hours with additional coaching available.
