Through group activities and involvement of all participants, the course provides participants with the skills to communicate the structure, intent, benefits, requirements and impact of ISO/IEC 17025:2005 requirements to their organizations.  Participants outline what is needed for transition, maintenance, and auditing to the revised standard. 

The effectiveness of this training is judged through participant demonstration of understanding through classroom presentations and documented action outline.

Prerequisite:  Understanding of ISO/IEC Guide 25 Requirements for Competence of Calibration and Testing Laboratories (1990)

 

Upgrading to ISO/IEC 17025 Participants will be able to:

Identify the necessary actions to satisfy ISO/IEC 17025 (2005) General Requirements for the Competence of Testing and Calibration Laboratories

Relate the specifics of these requirements to their organization’s laboratory management system

Define impact on documentation requirements

Outline steps for upgrading to the revised standard for their organization

 

Class time is 8 hours, dependent on class size (may be customized with follow-up coaching)
