Beyond being a requirement for both ISO 9001/2 and QS-9000, internal quality auditing helps to continually improve your company’s quality management system. Through activities and interactive learning, this course provides participants with the skills needed to successfully conduct internal quality system audits. This course consists of one and one-half days in the classroom for understanding audit and auditor requirements, and for practicing audit planning and preparation. The classroom time includes participant refinement and demonstration of effective communication, questioning and conflict management skills. One-half day consists of an on-site practice audit.

Internal Auditor Participants will be able to:

Define basic quality system definitions

Describe the purpose and role of the internal auditor

Outline quality system requirements for internal auditing

Demonstrate effective communication skills and questioning techniques

Apply conflict management skills

Plan for an internal quality system audit

Prepare for an internal quality system audit

Perform an internal audit

Report the results of the class practice audit

Class time is 16 hours with additional coaching available.
