degrees in Textile Chemistry from Virginia Polytechnic Institute and
State University, and an MBA from Wake Forest University. Prior to

Dastane-Rao is founder of Janakiran Quality Consulting, a consulting and training
organization in middle Tennessee specializing in assisting companies, especially automotive, with effective
deployment of ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and training for Internal
Auditing, SPC, DOE and other Quality Tools. As a Six Sigma Black
Belt Abha has assisted companies in successfully trouble-shooting
process problems. Abha is an American Society for Quality
Certified Quality Manager since 2000 and a Certified Quality Engineer
since 1992. She served as an examiner on the Board of Examiners
for the Tennessee Quality Award in 1998 and 1999. Abha earned a

Carter currently serves as Laboratory Manager of three A2LA Accredited
Physical Test Laboratories for Guilford Performance Textiles - North
America. She has extensive
experience and knowledge with the testing of mechanical properties of
textile products used in the automotive and domestic industries. Her responsibilities as Lab Manager include ensuring and
maintaining lab compliance to ISO/IEC 17025, TS16949, and ISO 14001. She is knowledgeable of ASTM, DIN, JIS, and ISO test methods
for textile testing. Teresa

and
an Internal Auditor for Guilford. She is a member of IFAI, ASTM, SAE, and AMA committees. She is currently serving as an Executive

Ron Scott’s hands on use of Root Cause Analysis in the marketing, manufacturing, customer service, and non-profit environments has made him a leader in not only finding the solutions to problems, but in helping successfully launch numerous new ideas. His positive approach to human intellectual development and his outstanding communications skills are an asset to any team. Ron’s 35 + years of human resource and leadership development experience have come in a variety of industries, including: intimate apparel, technical active wear, hosiery, and automotive textile components. Ron has traveled in China, South Korea, South America, Africa and through out the United States assisting in idea creation, market identification and source development for both non-profit and business endeavors. He led management efforts in the start up of Dominican Republic automotive and apparel manufacturing facilities for McMurray Fabrics, Inc. in 2000. In the ensuing eight years he also led successful efforts at MFI to certify and maintain both domestic and off-shore operations in TS 16949 and ISO 14001. As Marketing Vice President for Kayser Roth Hosiery and President of Consumer Products Division of Alba Waldensian, Ron identified specific market opportunities and lead teams that created technical products to fulfill retail needs. He has worked with all levels of retail management in both department store and mass retailers including presidents, merchandisers and buyers to ensure success of these new products.
